18^th Century Neapolitan Crib Figure Collection

A rare collection of five museum quality late 18^th / early 19^th Century hand carved Neapolitan crib figures. All wearing their original silk / velour and cotton clothing. Hand carved from sectioned piece of pine wood with articulated joints for change of posture.

Condition Report
These are aged items that has stood the test of time, some have been overpainted at some point (man with sandals has had his feet repainted). There is loss of painted sections and some loss to detail to the figure tips as shown. The clothing is worn and aged naturally with missing detail also. Mounted onto newer black painted bases for support and display purposes.
