Item Details

An early 20th century French lantern in the style of Louis XIV. Gilt brass lantern of 3 lights with a hexagonal shaped body. Decorated with swags of flowers and baroque motifs. Each of the original glass panes are decorated with an etched sunburst pattern. Probably from Paris and dating from the 1930s. It is in good original condition and has been rewired and tested to British standards. I have not had the lantern polished preferring to leave the natural aging patina. the lantern is approximately 63 cm long excluding the chain and ceiling cup. A fabulous light for an internal porch or entrance hall.
