Item Details

A good expressionist painting by French artist Augustine Merlier, possibly from the 1950's. Showing expressive brushstrokes and good use of colour, the painting is titled as "Still life with pineapple". It was entered into an exhibition of independent artists "Salon des Independantes" in Paris in 1967, and depicts citrus fruits and a pineapple, on a blue background. With its original Montparnasse frame, and complete with its exhibition past on the reverse side of the painting. A good sized painting with a bold frame which is sized 48cm x 41cm inc frame.
