Item Details

Description: An original, quality English antique doorstop/porter. This fine Georgian example is in polished brass and was manufactured in the late 18th to early 19th Century. The flat loop handle has a chamfered socle base with a stepped bell shape. A heavy bronze loading gives plenty of stability to this door stop, which provides the perfect finishing touch for a country house style.

Condition: Very good. Sensitively restored to retain the character and patina of the piece. Some slight signs of wear from age and use.
