A rare and quite spectacular coffee table by the French design house, Maison Charles.
Very heavy and good quality piece, the marble that sits within the base is Italian - verde issorie and has a bevelled edge.
The life size pineapples are made from metal and measure 30cms tall.
Condition wise, its in a good vintage condition, the clear glass top has scratches commensurate with age.
With regard to the last photo, Ive tried to capture where there has been loss of a silver of glass the black trim. Its not really that visible and is smooth to touch.
The brass to the plinths is displaying some tarnishing and wear as to be expected.

20th Century Filth is run by Sandra Carter who left a career in advertising and life in London for the seafront in St Leonards on Sea; an area already known for it’s antiques and vintage shops.

Having renovated a few properties which fuelled her interest (read: obsession) with all forms of mid-century design, she’s gone from being tasked with hunting down specific items for family, friends and Clients to focusing full time on sourcing beautiful pieces from France, Italy, Germany and the UK.

She offers a variety of antiques and design from late 18th century to the 1980s, but with a specialist interest in mid century lighting.
