The Decorative Collective Ltd incorporates the Decorative Collective and the Hoarde Vintage websites. For purposes of the information provided below, the term DC Ltd will be used to represent either website. The term 'Member' represents a Dealer Member who sells their items on our websites and we will use the term 'Member' below to represent them throughout.
The items posted to this website are owned and added by the Members themselves. The descriptions, pictures and any information provided by them is solely their responsibility. They have sight and knowledge of the items that the DC Ltd does not. Whilst we try to vet as much as possible via the content they upload to the website, we do not have access to each item and can only vet stock using the details provided by them and so cannot be held responsible for any inaccuracies. We are not experts and do not profess to have specific expertise or knowledge and Clients must satisfy themselves that they are happy with what they are purchasing via discussion with the relevant Member as the DC Ltd cannot be held responsible should an item turn out not to be as described.
We advise clients to ask for detailed photos and condition reports prior to purchase and for any attributions to be added to their invoice. You should always ask for an invoice for any purchase.
We only accept experienced Members onto the website and therefore put our trust in them to provide accurate and honest descriptions. You can read about the Dealers on the Directory page, where their contact details are also listed. You may also wish to check their own website and social media pages and visit them at their premises, if they have one.
The DC Ltd acts solely as the introductory agent between Members and Clients. It is the responsibility of the Member or Business (which you may find listed in the Directory pages) to satisfy a client as to the proper description, price and condition of an item or service, and to provide the client with an invoice confirming the actual price to be paid and what is and is not included within the stated price
Payment of all items or services between any Member and Client, is solely between the two parties. The DC Ltd will not become involved in any disputes, unless at it's discretion and only by way of assistance with no liability or responsibility accepted on the part of the DC Ltd. The DC Ltd does not charge it's Members any commission fees on sales made via this website. If a Member has added their Paypal account to the website, you will see a Purchase Item with Paypal tab next to each of their items and you can click this tab to pay and be linked through to their Paypal account. If there is no such tab showing, then they do not have Paypal associated with their account and you should use the Enquire About This Item tab to ask them if the item is still available and how you might pay for it. Most Members accept bank transfer, cash or credit card payments.
The DC Ltd cannot be held responsible in the event of any disagreement arising between a Member and a Client. We may at our discretion assist either party where we can if all attempts to reach agreement fail, but in a voluntary advisory capacity only and with no responsibility or liability accepted by the DC Ltd.
We cannot advise clients as to the value, accuracy or condition of an item whether prior to, or post purchase. We do not provide valuations on clients own items, nor sell items on their behalf.
Whilst we attempt to vet stock as much as possible for any obvious discrepancies, it is the responsibility of the Purchaser to satisfy themselves before they purchase an item as to the condition, description, value and authenticity of each piece.
We advise clients to request a condition report, with extra photos and to agree exactly what is included within the purchase price before finally agreeing to purchase an item, including any transportation costs and what any return policy of a Member may be.
Prices are shown in £, Euros and $. The Euros and $ are meant as a guide only as currencies and exchange rates fluctuate throughout each day. Clients are advised to check with their own bank or credit card provider what they may actually pay and be charged. You should also check with the Member what additional charges may be incurred if paying by credit card and exactly what forms of payment they do accept and what their returns and refunds policy is. The DC Ltd is not responsible for additional costs incurred in any purchase or return of an item/s.
You can view each individual Member's own terms and conditions on their Storefront page, where they have provided such. If they have not provided their own T&C's we advise Clients to request them or ask for clarification.
Our preferred means of communication with Clients is by email, using the Contact form on this site, but you are welcome to contact Jane should you need to by telephone.
We never share or sell any of our client's information with any other person or company apart from when you contact a Member of our websites providing such via our online forms. If you personally share your email or other contact information with a Member then that is your responsibility. All forms on the DC Ltd websites are encrypted for security purposes and we make every effort to safeguard the privacy and personal information of all who use our websites. We also advise all our Members that should they wish to add a Client's personal information to their own files, records or databases, then they must seek your approval first as the DC Ltd cannot be responsible for their doing so.
