Item Description
This stunning pair of woodblock prints was made by Japanese artist Rakusan Tsuchiya in the 1930s. They comprise design 114, Bluetail and Japanese Ivy, and design 126, Wild Camellia and Short-tailed Bush Warbler in Snow. Rakusan is best-known for his two great series of woodblocks, each depicting a single bird species with a single plant. Both are first editions, bearing Rakusan’s signature and seal.
