A superb original, late 19th Century Scottish seed merchant bank of drawers. 50 drawers in total in a graduated manner with 4 rows of 8 at the top and 3 rows of 6 at the bottom. At 5ft wide by 4ft tall, this is a large character piece of furniture that has great presence.

Solid pine in wonderful dry pine colour which can only be achieved with age. The carcass is made from single plank width which again points to the age of the piece, and is dovetail jointed at each corner. Drawers are also finely dovetailed. Brass handles to all the drawers, some variation in colour to the handles which points to some on these being replacements but they are all heavy solid brass so not cheap modern handles. The unit sits of four bun feet.

An impressive piece with good storage, a versatile piece that could work in many rooms.

In excellent solid condition, fully checked at our workshop and all drawers in perfect order and working as they should.
