And here is another beautiful antique French pure linen bolster case, this time with a fabulous decorative drawn thread hem at each end - so simple, so elegant. If you don't want to use this on a bed it will also make a very chic table runner.
These were made long so that the decorative lace edging would hang over the side of the bed. This is really useful as it makes them a great size for larger modern beds.
The linen is soft and comfortable but also quite thick with a nice country, slightly slubby look. Colour is a pale, cool creamy stone. No marks to speak of. No damage, wear or thinning.
