Item Description
This late 19th century Chinese kitchen cabinet was widely used in the Shanxi province of North China, and was originally used to store crockery and/or food such as fruit and vegetables. Nowadays, this would look perfect in a modern, non-fitted kitchen.
This kitchen cabinet is completely handcrafted and contains many elements that show the dedication and hard work that went into this piece. It is made from elm, and it still contains traces of the original red lacquer. The front holds unique brass handles as well as having a beautiful lattice work pattern, which can be seen on the side too. This allowed air flow within the cabinet, keeping food from spoiling.
The measurements for this cabinet are: W - 119.5cm, H - 180cm, D - 56.5cm
