Item Description
A super quality, early 19th century, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip bough pot with pierced cover. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD ” and it dates from c.1820. There is also an impressed “A” which would be the workman’s mark. The pot is very well decorated, in white relief, with three different scenes showing cupid. These are set between anthemion above which is a band of grapes and vines. There are three further, finely detailed border designs. All of the reliefs are exceptionally good quality as you would expect from a piece of this period. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 10.9cm. Height 12.5cm.
