Item Description
An unusual, late 19th century, French copper madelaine pan. Madelaine pans were used for cooking the small, shell shaped sponge cakes which, traditionally came from the Lorraine region of northeastern France but this example is quite different in that it has many different shapes in which to form the cakes. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and dates from c.1890. It is in very good condition and, although the tinning is slightly worn, it could still be used.
Dimensions: Height 8.5cm. Diameter 32.5cm. Width across the handles 51.7cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the US.A. add £40. Most of Western Europe add £20.
