Item Description

A Minton pottery jelly mould with a bunch of asparagus to the base. This unusual shaped mould is impressed, to the base, with “No43” over “7”. This is the form of marking used by Minton in the 19th century and the number 43 relates to their pattern catalogue of 1848. The mould dates from c.1850. The design in the base show a large bunch of asparagus with flowers to either side. The moulding is very good quality and would turn out well. There is a firing crack in the foot rim, but this does not affect the body of the mould, which is in very good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Length 19cm. Width 14.3cm. Height 8cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £20. Most of Western Europe add £10
