Item Description
A late 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This is English and it dates from c.1890. The border is carved with shamrocks and four small flowers against a stipple background. There is some dark staining to the reverse of the board but this is not visible on the face. There is a very small burn mark on the rim and there are the usual knife marks to both sides of the board, from use. A hook has been put into the reverse so that it can hang but this does not affect its ability to lay flat on a table.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2cm.
