Item Description
An unusual, 19th century, French copper salmon kettle. This no longer has a lid, so it is not suitable for culinary use, but it would make a lovely jardiniere on a windowsill or on the centre of a table. It its made from a very heavy gauge of copper, has castellated seams down both ends and around the base, and it dates from c.1850. It is unusual in having a reinforcing band of copper around the top and a copper, rather than steel, folding handle. There is very slight scratching to the copper but otherwise it is in very good condition. The tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Length of pan 49.5cm. Width 20cm. Depth 15cm. Overall length including the handle 55.cm. Overall height including the handles 19.8cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £50. Most of Western Europe add £25.
