Item Description
A very unusual pair of gilt metal, wall mounted, candle holders set with Wedgwood plaques. The plaques are marked “WEDGWOOD” and were made specifically to be fitted into the candle holders. The circular plaques are decorated with the harebell and acanthus design, which works very well in this form, and the oval plaques are decorated with two of the Muses. The reliefs are all good quality. The highly ornate wall brackets are gilded brass. These date from c.1900 and are in very good condition.
