Superb Antique Oak Tambour Roll Top 3 Drawer Bureau C1915

A wonderful, quality piece of early 20th Century English furniture with its unusual roll top opening and pull out writing surface - all looking rather good after a day or two in our workshop. This one certainly fits the bill on the looks and usefulness front. As mentioned it’s a good quality piece in solid English oak of a pleasing tone after a careful hand repolish by us.

Workshop report – The bureau sits firm with no wobbles or repairs. The oak frame has been carefully cleaned and lightly waxed. All 3 graduated drawers have the original brass drop knobs and the drawers are running well. The interior of one of the drawers has a few historic ink marks but nothing nasty or off-putting. We have light marks to the oak but again nothing fresh or off putting. Expect a piece that is ready to place and comes with the all-important key, locking the piece if necessary. It’s a weighty piece for its size!

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isles and for World-wide shipping. 

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item.  If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
