Lovely quality 1920s English glazed bookcase bureau with 3 useful drawers sitting in very good condition. This attractive piece in a pleasing tone of oak ticks all the boxes on the looks front, with its glazed doors to the top with working lock and key, well equipped drop front “desk” interior, well sized oak drawers with original brass drop handles all sitting on well shaped bulbous legs. Some from this era can be a little wanting on the quality and looks front but this one certainly does not - totally handsome!

Workshop report - The piece has spent a session in our workshop with a careful repolish so expect a good tone to the solid oak. The upper part possesses a working lock and key alongside two adjustable oak shelves. The drop down also possesses a working lock and key and has two useful drawers and an amount of little cubby holes. The three drawers are neat and tidy and have had the runners waxed and are closing as they should with the aged brass drop handles in place. The whole piece possesses light day to day marks with no cracks or breaks to the glass. Expect nice gentle aging but nothing nasty or off putting.

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item.  If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
