Wonderful Staffordshire Pottery 'William Kent' Quart (2 pint) Tyg,
Hand painted with hunting dogs and game, moulded relief decoration and a secret frog!
19th century Ale was cloudy so the frog was a surprise at the bottom when the ale was finished
Images 1 & 2 show the internal frog. image 10 shows the image of this Tyg from the original catalogue
William Kent followed on the Staffordshire tradition of moulded pottery often featuring 'Toby Jugs', Famous people, Famous events and traditional customs
The factory was established in 1878
