Item Description
A Chinese Western Han Dynasty (202BC - 9AD) black pottery two handled amphora,with two whorl-shaped reserves on each side and two broad strap handles attached from the mouth rim, the neck decorated with stylised geometric bands. The underside of the base with attribution.
PROVENANCE: From a Private Cumbrian Collection, formerly the Collection of the Late Edward Seaton - No. 39.
