Item Description
A good set of eight Georgian bell shaped bronze trade weights, with GR cypher, dated 1826 and with maker's monogram AT or TA, also stamped with what appears to be a coffee pot. The largest with punched weight mark 28 LBS to the handle and numerous marks and dates to the underside, the latest date being 1960.
Comprising 28 lbs, 14 lbs, 7lbs, 4 lbs, 2 lbs, 1 lb, 8oz and 2oz. The two smallest weights are matched but of a similar date.
The largest weight 23.5cm high, 15cm diam.
