Item Description

Rupert Peploe comes from a family with a very strong artistic tradition. Samuel J. Peploe, the Scottish colourist, was a relation, as was Fitzgerald Peploe, the New York society sculptor of the 1890s, and Thomas Peploe Wood, the early 19th century topographical artist.

He works in oils, using brushes and palette knives, and is particularly excited by colour and form within the West Country landscape. Still life also features prominently in his output.

His use of colour is stunning and this beautifully framed piece would be a stand-out addition to any traditional or, indeed, contemporary space.
