Item Description
This lovely double-sided "We Sell Kodak Products" enamel sign shows the iconic logo and colour scheme of one of the world's largest film/camera companies. This particular sign dates to the 1950s. It has survived the decades well. The side pictured first retains strong colours and a generally good gloss with a just little dulling / discolouration to the outer edges of the yellow mid-section. The other side (pictures 3 / 4) retains a good gloss for the red enamel layer, but the yellow enamel layer has lost it's surface gloss (see angled photo for a better understanding of this). On both sides there's a little staining / marking running down from the fixing holes (likely it was originally hung using iron fixings, perhaps in a costal location). Generally though the wear doesn't affect the impact or legibility of this sign and there's minimal enamel loss - just a little chipping around the mounting holes / outer edges. A fairly uncommon, though highly popular subject matter, this sign can be hung using it's original mounting holes and displays well. It measures 61cm wide x 46cm high.
