Item Description
This advertising poster for "Wood's Open Gear Mower - Beware of Imitations" is a fantastic piece of late-Victorian / Edwardian era design. The typography, illustration of the mower and the colour-way are all sublime. This poster was bought as part of a small run of the same design cleared from the stores of the London printers. Having spent it's entire life in storage it has survived the decades in fantastic order, the colours remain vibrant, there are no foldlines and only minimal discolouring. As these posters were never distributed the 'For Sale By' section at the bottom remains blank - this would have obviously been written or stamped by the individual retialers. The poster has been professionally framed and is ready to hang. Including the frame it measures 80cm high x 54cm wide.
