Item Description
A well-carved pigeon decoy, dating from the early 1900s. The maker has gone to the effort of carving wing tips, and also adding relief detail to the wing sides, to make the decoy as realistic as possible. Original glass eyes and mostly original paintwork. The beak may have been replaced at some point in its life, but if so, has been done extremely well. Old repair to tail area. A lovely example for any collection.
