NAIVE CARVING HORSE MARIONETTE
An extremely charming and charismatic depiction of a horse with an attractive paint job and real horse hair mane.
This style of carving originated in Northern Europe but and then was taken to America at this time so could originate from either side of the Atlantic.
Probably dating to the late 19th/early 20th century.
On a later, fairly rudimentary but highly effective wooden and brass base.
It is in great vintage condition. All limbs are present and correct and work as they should. There is some wear commensurate with age but nothing seriously wrong.
Overall measurements on stand: 60cm high x 35cm wide x 14cm deep.
