Item Description
A large scale antique shop clock circa 1900’s.
This double-sided clock is made from mahogany with wonderful decorative carved detail.
It was made for Oclee & Son – a family run jewellers established in 1878 in Folkestone.
The clock faces bear their name and address on both sides, although some letters and the glass on one face are missing. The jewellers is still operating at the same premises on Sandgate Road.
The clock has been left in its found state, and even though the winder key works, the ticking is vey fast and we can’t open any ports of entry to see /fix the mechanisms.
This is a beautiful, very decorative, very solid clock.
H 58 x W 116 x D 28 cm
Clockface 39cm diameter.
Please note: this is a very heavy piece and may require a two men to lift.
