Early 20^th Century Unusual Plaster Puppet Head

An unusual object to say the least, we feel this item was made in the early to mid-20^th century. Constructed of Wood, plaster with glass eyes, hand painted details. Uncovered in an antiques store in Paris earlier this month. We have been informed it would originally have been displayed on large puppet figure of sorts. The item does not stand alone but still makes for an unusual object.

This item shows natural wear and aging through use, with wear and loss in sections as shown in the photos provide, its covered in a plaster like material with is chipped around the base. It comes on a make shift piece of wood base that has only been used for photographic purpose as its not stable and should be remounted.
