Item Description
A Copeland child’s tea service, printed with flowers in flow blue, comprising a teapot, milk jug, sucrier, slop bowl, 6 cups and saucers and 3 plates. This is marked “Copeland Late Spode” and some pieces are also impressed “COPELAND”. This combination of marks was used between 1847 and 1867 and this service would date from c.1850. The moulded shapes are typical of the early Victorian period. There are a couple of very tiny chips on the inside of the rim of the teapot but all other pieces are in very good condition.
Dimensions: Teapot: Length 16.5cm. Width 9cm. Height 10cm. Sucrier: Length 11.5cm. Width 8cm. Height 9cm. Slop bowl: Diameter 11.4cm. Height 6.3cm.
Jug: Length 9.5cm. Width 5cm. Height 7cm. Cups and Saucers overall: Diameter 12cm. Height 4.8cm.
