Item Description
Wonderful glass and metal pendant designed by Erik Hoglund for the well-respected glassmaker, Boda Glasbruk.
Sweden, 1960s.
The photos taken in daylight make the pendant’s glass appear green, and at night they look more blue. The brightness will depend on what kind of bulb you choose.
Pentagonal in shape, the frame is black metal and there are five, leaf embossed panels that slide out of the top. There is a frosted glass diffuser within the panels that holds one bulb.
It hangs on its original chain (which means its drop can be altered) and has been fully rewired using gold antique style twisted flex. A polished brass ceiling cup has also been fitted.
The glass slabs are thick so it’s a substantial piece weighing around 6kg.
A really beautiful, high quality piece of Scandinavian design.
Height of glass panel: 16 cms
