Early 20th Century French oak artist's easel bearing the brass label 'L. Berville Paris 25 Chausee d'Antin'.
With a mechanical rise and fall mechanism and is height adjustable.
Van Gogh reportedly purchased artist's supplies from Léon Berville's shop on 25 Rue de la Chaussée J'Antin in Paris. He mentions Berville in a letter to his brother in 1888.
