Item Description
A finely proportioned early 20th Century French Louis XVI Revival bouillotte gueridon table.
The circular breccia marble top is enclosed by a brass gallery above a frieze inlaid with delicate floral marquetry and fitted with a drawer and opposing pull-out writing slide retaining its original gilt-tooled black leather surface. Raised on four tapering legs terminating in brass sabots, the table combines elegant proportions with practical functionality. Richly detailed yet restrained in design, it is a versatile piece, suitable as a lamp table, side table or occasional writing table.
In good antique condition with age-related wear. The marble top displays historic cracking and minor surface marks commensurate with age and use. The leather writing slide shows expected wear and patination. Structurally sound and presenting well.
