Mid-Century French evocative oil painting on wood of a forest trees in a carpet of freshly fallen snow.
Presented in a beautifully carved painted Motparnasse frame. Signed by the artist to the lower left.
About the Artist: Henri Andre Martin [1918-2004] French Artist.
Born in Lyon, from a very young age, his passion was painting, but, giving in to family influence, he chose medicine, While becoming a renown surgeon, he divided his time between Medicine and Art
Prizes and Distinctions include the Maurice Utrillo Prize 1964 and a medal of honor from the Lyon Society of Fine Arts.
Member of the Salon du Sud-Est until his death in 2004.
