Item Description
A wonderful example of a 19th Century English farmhouse dresser. Circa 1850. Decorative wide crown cornice with a wavy frieze below. The dresser has three plate rack fitted shelves and features three drawers with turned handles and decorative fronts. Below the drawers there is a shaped apron with two open arches with a central support and a pot board base.
In well worn rustic antique condition throughout with various signs of age. There is surface wear including age-related marks, scratches and staining (pictured). The antique pine dresser remains structurally intact although it has previously been cut and separated in two pieces. Quite worn in places but this helps add to the wonderful rustic charm and character of the piece.
