Item Description

A scarce 1858 "The Lincoln Date Book from the Earliest Time to the Present". Printed & Published by R.E.Leary (Strait). Paperback. The first page starts at the year 514 AD saying the Saxons driven from Lincoln by King Arthur. Then goes right the way through to November 3rd 1858 reading The County Color Ball. Color, pink and black. Mrs Waldo Sibthorp (in consequence of the lamented death of Mrs Reeve) acted as Lady Patroness. 126 pages and another 20 or so pages of adverts at the back for various Lincoln & area businesses. Obvious used condition, but it is nearly 170 years old & super rare so that is probably to be expected & allowed. A very interesting read & some of the adverts at the back are super interesting. Sale includes UK inland tracked delivery. On this item we can not offer a return option. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.
