Item Description
Edwardian Banjo. Made by Arthur Octavius Windsor, Birmingham. The Windsor Artiste Model number 4 Suffield. Five String. Walnut neck with inlaid mother of pearl Ebony fingerboard. Rosewood resonator pot which is edge trimmed in light Boxwood. Original calfskin head (8-3/4 inches diameter). Overall Banjo height 37 inches and just shy of 3kg in weight. Strings replaced, this Model 4 features the fifth string tunnel. The string bridge appears to be the original one, you may choose to maybe replace the bridge? Some expected age related marks & wear, but overall in good order & in full playable condition. The neck is nice and straight. It has a lovely sound when played. There is no case with this Banjo.
