This is a wonderful & unusual to see for sale Steeplejacks Lead Owl Embellishment. Hand made in an English Arts & Crafts style. Originally hand cast by David Dawson "Senior" Born May 1934 - Died Oct 2020. These beautiful solid lead embellishments were used decoratively on church roofs in the Devon & Cornwall area. David Dawson was often asked by clients to create bespoke animal embellishments, quite often specifically for a particular building. Height 9 inches. Weight 3.5 kg. Sale includes delivery within the United Kingdom.
This would now look superb mounted on a ridge gable end of a porchway or used on a garden gate, the uses of it are endless. A wonderful item with a rich English history.

Dawson Steeplejacks were established in the late reign of William IV in 1837 & are still going strong today. Ben Dawson now runs the family business.
