A wonderful French antique textile

This is an antique French country linen or possibly hemp sheet which dates to the late 1800s/early 1900s. It was woven on a narrow 19th century loom and is joined at the centre by a hand stitched seam as was traditional.
It has simple hand turned hems and a lovely monogram of the letters MB worked in white thread and set to one side of the seam. A traditional and charming piece of French textile history; these are really a privilege to own and use.
Used but with no thinning, damage or wear. Freshly laundered and ready for use. A few pale marks as shown. Very very slightly soft in the centre but still strong throughout.
Colour is a pale putty-white with character you'll never find in a modern, machine made piece.
So useful to have in the cupboard - a great bed cover, tablecloth, sofa throw, curtain.
Approximate weight: 1750 grams
(As always with an antique or vintage piece, there may be a tiny little nick or imperfection that we haven't spotted but I don't think so.)
