Item Description
Charming early 20th century French pure linen sheet with a really delightful monogram of the letters BB set above a scalloped satin stitch hem with carries down the side of the return. The monogram and surrounding decoration is all hand stitched; the scalloped edging is machine stitched as is the bottom hem.
In excellent condition; over 100 years old and still going strong.
The linen is medium weight and has a slightly "country" feel with slubs giving some nice interest to the weave. The colour is a very pale grey-white.
Wonderfully comfortable to sleep under, it's beautifully soft and cool, or a beautiful curtain, the fabric drapes perfectly and it's a good length.
This sheet has been used but is in very good condition for an antique piece - perfectly suited for use as a sheet; no thinning, damage or wear. No marks to worry about.
