The linen of this sheet feels gorgeous, it seems completely unused which is so sad - surely it's time has come to shine.
This is a beautiful very large vintage French pure linen sheet; so cool and smooth to the touch, there's nothing to beat these fabulous vintage pieces. The return hem is finished with a row of ladders and a lace border and it surrounds a monogram of the letters MD. All in all a delight.
A gorgeous heirloom piece - to savour, to use and to love.
This sheet has a little detail that I love and which speaks of a top quality piece - the bottom hem is stitched with a narrow row of drawn thread. This takes much longer to complete than a standard hem and yet was surely destined only to be seen by the maid.
No damage, wear or thinning, it is excellent condition. No marks as far as I can see. Colour is a very pale creamy white which will continue to lighten as the sheet has further washes.
