Item Description
The vintage French damask mattress fabrics are always so pretty, I'm working through a whole box of pieces which came from a lovely French gentleman who had been a mattress maker. I bought these from his atelier after he retired.
There is so much fabric here, these would make a gorgeous pair of curtains or are an excellent weight for upholstery.
These are the most gorgeous colour - a really soft lavender grey and the damask pattern has a lovely silvery sheen to it. I have two of these and they are both complete tickings (ie enough to make a whole mattress). As you can see, they have never been used and one is still in its original packing.
I always suggest a wash before use to freshen up but it's not 100% necessary. Sturdy linen union; a lovely fabric.
