Item Description
You can't beat the feel of these gorgeous turn of the century linen sheets. The fabric has a lovely character to it with little slubs in the weave and of course it drapes beautifully for curtains or blinds. Or can of course be used as a sheet, the fabric is sturdy but not uncomfortable.
This sheet dates to around 1900-1920 and was woven on a narrow loom, hence the traditional hand stitched centre seam. Red cross stitch monogram of the letters MP set either side of the seam. Simple machined hems.
A gorgeous tablecloth or bed cover. Also good for light upholstery projects etc. Just masses of really useful lovely linen! Colour is a pale almost pinky-beige-off white.
This sheet has been used but has no damage or thin patches. Freshly laundered and ready for use.
(As always with an antique or vintage piece, there may be a tiny little nick, mark or imperfection that we haven't spotted but I don't think so.)
