Item Description
A Daum crystal set comprising a jug, a set of six stemmed glasses and three small glasses with handles. The jug and the six stemmed glasses are all marked with “Daum Nancy” in gilt to either side of the Cross of Lorraine and this set dates from c.1890. All pieces are decorated with feathered gilt rims on reeded bodies. The stemmed glasses are the typical size of the period for white wine but the three small glasses are quite unusual. They are typically the shape of an early 19th century English custard cup but I don’t think that this was their purpose. Could they have been for serving coffee? All ten pieces are in excellent condition.

Tall glasses: Height 11.8cm. Diameter 6cm.
Small glasses with handles: Height 6.5cm. Width 7cm. Diameter 6cm.
