Item Description
A good quality, 19th century, French copper sugar bowl. This is made from a very heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. It has a rolled rim and attractive brass handles to either side. It would have been used, in the sweet making process, for caramelising sugar hence the interior was never tinned. It is in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Diameter of bowl 32.8cm. Width across the handles 37.2cm. Depth of bowl 16cm. Height including the handles 19cm.
