Item Description
A good quality, late nineteenth century, oval copper gratin dish. This is French and it dates from c.1890. It is made from a substantial gauge of copper and has the typical French form of brass handles to either end. It is in excellent condition and the interior has been re-tinned so that it can an be used. This type of dish is ideal for making a vegetable gratin or dauphinoise potatoes and it can be taken straight from the oven to the table.
Dimensions: Length of dish 33cm. Width 20cm. Depth of dish 4.6cm. Overall length including the handles 37cm. Overall height including the handles 8cm.
