Item Description
A good quality, 19th century, English copper jelly mould. This is marked with the orb and cross symbol used by Benhams above the pattern number “57”. To the opposite end is a workman’s mark in the shape of a radiating sun. The mould is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it dates from c.1870. The design consists of two tiers of rounded topped columns, with ten columns on the lower tier and eight on the upper tier. The mould is in excellent condition and the tinning, to the interior, is still in very good, usable condition.
