Item Description
A 19th century, English copper jelly mould. This is marked with a pattern number “242” but there is no manufacturers mark. It is also beautifully engraved with the initials “L.R”. This has come from one of the English properties of Lionel Rothschild. It is made from a heavy gauge of copper and dates from c.1870. The design consists of six stylised flower shapes to the top above angular columns and this is around a central pipe. There is some denting to the stylised flower tops and also to the sides of the columns. This can all be seen in the images.
