Item Description
A large, 19th century, English copper fancy border mould. This is made from a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1870. There are no manufacturers marks but it is stamped with the pattern number “323”. It is also nicely engraved with a large letter “K” and the initials “J.K” which would be the initials of the original owner. The design, with a row of overlapping circles on the top, is known as a penny top design and this sits above a border of round top columns. The mould is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
