Item Description
A super quality, 19th century, French copper, two pan bain marie set. This bears no manufacturers marks but it dates from c.1870. The bain marie is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has castellated seams around the base and up the side. The folding brass handles are very substantial and they are an excellent design. The two pans sit neatly into the lid of the bain marie and they are marked with a number ”12” and a number ”14” which relates to their diameters at the widest part where they sit into the base. They are also made from a very heavy gauge of copper, they have steel handles and small, acorn shaped brass finials. This is in excellent condition and the entire interiors have been re-tinned so that it can be used.
