Item Description
A good quality, nineteenth century steel sugar or ice cleaver in the shape of a woman. This is French and it dates from c.1880. The handle, which forms the leg, or boot, is made from copper and is attached with copper rivets which are so well finished that they barely show. The woman is quite well shaped and has engraved detail to the hair and face. There is some pitting to the blade and, unfortunately, the blade is also cracked and a piece is missing from the end, so this could no longer be used and is for decorative purpose only.
Dimensions: Height 14cm. Length 27.2cm. Width of handle 1.1cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. add £30. Most of Western Europe add £15.
